A Tale of Two Flags!
Today marked 55 years since the reunification of Jerusalem was achieved by a Jewish army reminiscent of the Hasmoneans of old.
While tens of thousands of Jews made the march of the flags to the Kotel celebrating 1967 and the liberation of Jerusalem, a small group of patriots were being arrested for waving the flag of Israel on the Temple Mount. How can this be, and yet the reality is that 55 years ago was the last time the State of Israel’s flag flew over the HahaBayit unmolested, if only for a brief time before Moshe Dayan decided appeasement was better than outright sovereignty.
The second flag in this tale of missed opportunity is the flag of the fake Palestinians that was allowed to fly over the Temple Mount for two weeks before being taken down no arrests this time.
I recommend you read our piece from May 2 this year entitled Ten Days of Shame; Palestinian Flag Flies over Temple Mount for more on that subject.
Today, we have an opportunity to renew Hebrew mastery over the redeemed land by renewing Israel’s historical and spiritual independence.
We can turn the clock back to 1967 when that Israeli flag flew proudly over our capital and cease surrendering Jewish sovereignty to our mortal enemy, the Arab nationalists amongst us.
The time is here and now to raise our flag over the Temple Mount and pronounce that we, the Jewish people are here to “Protect and Conquer.”
