AMBASSADOR OF THE ABSURD!

French Ambassador to Israel resorts to the old canard when he makes absurd statements that should the State of Israel annex parts of Shomron and Yehudea (West Bank) Israel would be in breach of International law.

Nothing could be further from the truth. The myth that Jewish settlements beyond the 1949 armistice lines are illegal according to international law is blatantly false. You would think that a career diplomate come Ambassador would know that the League of Nations Mandate for Palestine gave full international recognition to Jewish settlement in all Palestine west of the Jordan River which has never been revoked, and in accordance with article 80, chapter XII of UN charter have not been amended and remain valid today.

So Mr Ambassador at best either you are an ignorant man or more likely a mendacious European. Either way international law makes it crystal clear, Israel is the lawful sovereign in Judea and Samaria.

Yes, Mr Ambassador international law curious indeed. One might venture to suggest that the European Union is playing fast and loose with the truth and are guilty of diminishing international law while Israel abides by the law.
