AUSTRALIA IN A STATE OF SHEEPDOM!
Yes the so called larrikin nation is nothing more than a state of sheepdom.
Australia like America is captive to its homespun mythology’s and cliched phrases of a time long gone.
The reality is very different and far more supine and definitely ordinary. Australians suffer from a malaise of the human spirit a result of moral weakness and indolence.
As such no one should be surprised to see the majority of Australians surrender their liberty’s without a whimper.
A country that draws upon its criminal past for inspiration cannot be expected to appreciate the abuse of civil rights and common law within its midst.
Australians are not alone when it comes to accepting every whim and fancy of their governments in confronting Covid19 regardless of the irrational approach by their political representatives in combatting this virus.
Instead, the sheep accept the doctrine of sentiment that is designed to condition their acquiescence to further encroachments upon their personal liberties. Where are the men who refuse to be the pawns of coldly calculating governments those who demand respect for their “natural rights” and promote the spirit of fraternity?
They are there but they are being drowned out by the spin doctors, politicians and popular media etc… in the wake of this empty chatter so many well-meaning people are overwhelmed by the rising torrent of senseless enthusiasms, leaving the silent majority to do nothing in their own interest’s. Allowing inertia to overcome them.
Should society reject a mans right to disagree with the prevailing opinion because they believe it to be incorrect is to be guilty of absolute certainty and it follows that those who impose these moral restraints upon another is guilty of assuming a state of infallibility and thereby intolerant by nature.
This current phenomenon is to be seen from New York to Melbourne Australia and want of leadership around the world is very much causation of further decline. Our leaders will not serve us well should they impose more structural constraints and get bogged down in the trivial and just plain mess of another false dawn.
