Australia Virtue Signalling!

As Australia slowly emerges as a player on the world stage, it’s succumbing to virtue signalling at every turn. Currently, its political class are locked in a battle for the country’s soul, whether it be the referendum to promote a virtual state within the state by creating an Aboriginal parliament with review-like powers that make the Senate potentially irrelevant to the political process. The ‘Voice’ is nothing more than cancel culture. The Australian domestic debate could be described as a contest between woke liberal madness and realism.

However, when you thought it couldn’t get any worse outcomes Australia’s Foreign Minister Penny Wong virtue signalling. Under her watch, the Australian Labor Government have adopted a one-sided policy of acknowledging Judea and Shomron, including east Jerusalem and Gaza, as “occupied Palestinian land”.

Wong has quite blatantly sided with Hamas, a terrorist organisation, and indulged in the demonisation and scapegoating of the Jewish State. Madness has gripped the Leftist Labor government that threatens to undermine the Australia-Israel relationship.

Jews in Australia need to speak the truth to the political hacks without fear or favour and, in doing so, expose the Big Lies they promote.

While doing this, Jews need to declare a cease-fire and strive for unity for survival.

In the meantime, woke politicians like Penny Wong should be exposed as naked emperors. Australians must demand that political leaders, university nay-bobs and media talking heads refuse to look the other way or collaborate with the cultural Bolsheviks.

Yosef Yigal Drever

Yosef Yigal Drever and Sylvia Drever co-founded Achdut HaLev in 2006 to reach out to the Jewish community's around the world providing support in learning Torah and promoting the 'Return of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel.' Yosef Yigal made Aliya in 2014 while Sylvia his wife is an Israeli. In late 2014 Achdut HaLev concentrated all its resources towards Aliya and the rebuilding of Eretz Yisrael. Excluding none and embracing all. The commandment to settle the Land of Israel is equal in importance to all the Torah Commandments all together: (Sifri Deut 12:29)
