Bennett gets that Sinking Feeling
Bennett gets that sinking feeling after MK Idit Silman of Yamina resigned from the governing coalition Wednesday morning, ending the coalition’s majority in the Knesset.
Following her resignation, Idit Silman called on Bennett to “join hands to be a voice to the values for which we were elected.” She accused the current government of undermining the very nature of the Jewish State and putting at risk the authentic Jewish values Israel stands for.
Silman’s decision to jump ship came after Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz’s directive to hospitals to allow leavened food products, i.e., chametz, into their facilities during Pesach in breach of Jewish Law.
Whatever her reasons for deciding she could no longer participate as a member of the Bennett/Lapid coalition, her doing so may lead Israel to yet another election.
In the meantime, Idit Silman has placed a spotlight on the nature of this government and exposed its covert agenda for the Jewish State, which, if allowed to continue, would irrevocably destroy the Jewish People’s right to Eretz Israel, leading to the end of our Statehood, independence, and freedom.
Idit Silman’s fervent belief in Israel’s historic right to all the land of Israel and its Jewish identity echoes the beliefs once passionately held by so many of our leaders like Prime Minister Menachem Begin and advocated heroically by Rabbi Meir Kahane.
Undoubtedly, the liberal-leftist news media talking heads, intellectuals, self-serving politicians, and Jewish establishment elites in the United States will unleash their propaganda machine to discredit Idit Silman and discourage others who may be wavering in their commitment to Bennett’s poisonous and obnoxious government. These elites will lie and smear honest Jews while praising and supporting nationalist Arabs who seek the demise of the Jewish State and provide them a platform for their Jew-hating agenda within the very government itself.
Undoubtedly, Idit Silman acted in a manner that all Jews should emulate wherever they are.
