This week a White House official announced the Trump peace plan would include the most detailed proposals yet.

The unnamed official said the plan would include a major economic component, according to Reuters.

Peace Initiative

The thorny issue of land for peace was not mentioned but undoubtedly remains a key element in any American sponsored peace initiative.

Concerning the Arab inhabitants of Judea and Samaria silence remains the preferred option for the moment.

So far no original idea has been put forward and the pundits are left to speculate what may be on offer.

Well here is one Israeli Jew who suggests beware of Americans bearing gifts.

Embassy’s, United Nation votes all come with a price tag, be in no doubt there is a rule of reciprocity between nations and Israel /America relations are no different.

let us analyse some of the problems we face at this crucial time in our history as a nation forged in the crucible of war and political bias.

Any suggestion on the part of Israel to concede one inch of sovereign Jewish land to a sworn enemy whose very reason for existence is to perpetuate a hostile front to any peaceful arrangement and achieve the annihilation of the Jewish State is paramount to committing national suicide.

As far as Judea and Samaria are concerned they are the heartland of the state and no entity can function when its heart is ripped from its chest.

If you were to remove any part of Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, then in principle no area of the Jewish state legitimately belongs to us and can, therefore, be open to further land concessions.

Judea and Samaria are not occupied territories, and are therefore not subject to foreign claims nor pawns in international diplomacy.

To accept the gift of recognition to parts of Jerusalem as a price for giving up parts of our indivisible Holy Land would see the end of our country, independence and ‘Hadar’, (Jewish Pride).

Should we be threatened with destruction, it would be our duty to rise up in defence of  our people, country, and the “Promise!”
