Biden administration threatens Netanyahu over the new government.
President Biden has made it clear that his administration will hold Israel’s Prime Minister-elect, Binyamin Netanyahu, personally responsible for his ministers’ actions, particularly when they may infringe on a future Palestinian State.
On the surface, rational thought would demand Israel exercise a single fixed objective of its own preservation while not cultivating enemies and irritating other states. This approach is not so much an ethic as a set of prudent manners. However, if the government allows itself to be intimidated and its policy dictated by a foreign country, then that government indeed risks losing political authority and, eventually, the Jewish States’ sovereignty.
Biden’s warning may indeed be a manifestation of entrenched hostility or not, irrespective for the Jewish State to rely upon fallible human goodwill can only lead to disappointment. If Netanyahu chooses to surrender his mandate to the Whitehouse, he will have chosen tyranny over freedom and liberty.
If the Maccabees taught us one thing, it is this we stand alone, and with total trust in the G-d of Israel, we can overcome the many, no matter how few we are. After millennia, to liberate the Jewish homeland from foreign rule: Persians, Romans, Byzantines, Christians, Moslems, Turks, and British, are we now to face the United States in fear and trembling? Caesar’s Rome could not subdue Jewish faith and loyalty, nor will America.
We did not come Home after nearly 2,000 years to live on our knees at the behest of another gentile power. Instead, we must expel foreign influence from our country and establish political and spiritual redemption.
