Covid19 the Great Debate a Debacle in the Making

The words being used to debate Covid19 seem endless and lack the precision of thought needed when delving into the unknown for that’s what it is unknown and yet the coming debacle will not lack in the emotional endeavor. In fact, since most people have only a poor understanding of abstract ideas they will more likely react to feelings, the emotional grounds of their attitudes will furnish their motivation. It’s always easier to fight armed with the euphoria of simple idealistic belief than in-depth knowledge of what actually exists, no fear of objectivity here just a lack of character inspired by worthless ideas.

We Jews have also fallen victim to the glib explanations of why G-d has brought Covid19 about, suggesting the restrictions have brought families closer in a time when much of family life has been steadily eroding over the years. Well, that may well be true of secular society but the Rabbis are referring to religious communities where time traditionally spent by families at the Shabbos and Yom Tov table would seem to dismiss this rather shallow opinion.

The facts are that family life while not benefiting from more time together has in fact raised mental, emotional and familial problems for so many around the world. No their sentimental attempts at comforting the many just won’t do at all.

let’s be done with homespun complacent repetitions whether they be to our advantage or not and recognize the mistakes that have been made in a wish to provide comfort and answers during a famine of genuine ideas.

Our mistake has been the difficulty of recognizing the tendencies of our own era. We have become prone to allow ourselves to be deceived by the events in our own day because we have been blind to the sequence of evident causes that have led us to where we are today. It seems we can no longer distinguish the message from the pages of the Torah or Jewish history from the merely ephemeral, the important from the trivial. It is not till we look back or find ourselves confronted by events out of the ordinary that some of us realize something extraordinary is taking place.

Covid19 is such a moment when more often than not we overlook the direction of the facts around us, and the dangerous trends of life that appear generally invisible to humanity as it goes about its daily life of minor details which seem to have more immediate significance.

Tragically the minor details will escape our memories while leaving the really important events to haunt our days and nights mercilessly.

Instead of identifying Covid19 with superficial causes, we need to realize this virus is a din a judgment on society and particularly Jewish society. All of the Covid19 restrictions around the world are indicative of the coming tsunami of Jew-hatred not seen since the Third Reich let loose its evil intentions against the Jewish people.

Covid19 is the precursor of what’s to come. Some day soon the Jewish State will unwittingly give the nations an excuse they can’t ignore the green light to isolate Israel diplomatically, economically, socially, politically, in fact, to delegitimize its sovereignty and erase its borders reminiscent of Rome’s heavy-handed policies in eradicating Jewish Israel and attempting to replace it with a myth called Palestine. This new Holocaust is on its way no respecter of the ten million Jews who go about their daily lives oblivious to the horror in store for those who refuse to come Home to the Jewish State. Instead, they prefer the hospitality of the “Enlightened nations” who only seventy-six years ago incinerated 6,000,000 men, women, and children for the greater good of Western society.

No matter how infectious Covid19 is or is not one thing can be certain anti-Semitism is unarguably a deadly, infectious disease without a cure. The only vaccine for this deadly disease is our people’s return to Zion without delay.

When Covid19 eventually disappears from the media circus and political agenda it’s to be hoped our brothers and sisters will have finally started to leave the cursed exile which consumes us.

Covid19 is a fateful and crucial test. If we break with the trivial once and for all and understand our era’s significance, we could bring the redemption as we act for the good of the nation of Israel and sanctifying the Name of G-d.
