Israel’s Judicial Reforms on a Knife’s Edge.

Everybody from America’s Joseph Biden to Israel’s President Isaac Herzog feels the need to save the Israeli people from themselves. Since the victory of November 1, the Netanyahu government has been under siege from the homegrown left to the wokeists sitting in the Whitehouse not to mention a myriad of governments from all around the world.

These paragons of virtue seem to ignore that the Judicial Reforms were front and centre during the election. No matter that the propaganda campaign being waged by the U.S. government and the leftist cabal of Lapid, Gantz and every crackpot activist are actively undermining Israel’s executive authority while tearing apart the fabric of Israel’s political structure for their ideological purposes.

They are currently manipulating public sympathy in the hope that it will transcend and correct official policy’s direction and effectively bring down the legitimate government of the Jewish State. The forces of reaction are gambling on the politics of purpose, giving way to the politics of fatigue.

All sane people should hope that the government will not succumb to a passive default, actively relinquishing responsibility in a critical hour. Those who voted for a change from the left, liberal, woke government of Bennett, Lapid and Abbas would never forgive Israel’s leaders for failing to take responsibility in a time of peril. They would be affronted by the idea that a democratically elected government could reverse its policy in response to illicit force.

Should the government go down that track, Israel will have surrendered to international colonialism. From then on, the Jewish State would be subjected to threats and pressure like never before in its recent history.
