LEGAL SMOKESCREEN
On Wednesday, June 10th German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas flew into Israel for one day to deliver his Governments disapproval to any unilateral annexation of territory in Judea and Samaria (West Bank).
The German Foreign Minister resorted to the old canard that any annexation would be in breach of international law. (see my article of June 1st 2020 titled Ambassador of the Absurd!).
I can only assume the Germans along with the European Rat-pack believe if you say something often enough regardless of the facts it must by virtue of repetition be true.
Herr Heiko Maas ignores out of hand Article 80 of the UN Charter and the 1922 League of Nations Mandate for Palestine which unequivocally lays out the Mandate’s allocation of sovereign rights over the area’s in question. Nor have these Articles been abrogated by any subsequent treaty.
The Europeans persist in their assault on Israel’s sovereignty using all means currently at their disposal while using a smokescreen of legal gibberish and moral certitude to make their case.
Germany has no right nor moral certitude to lecture the Jewish State on its international responsibilities and they should be in no doubt we as a nation have a long memory and we do not forget the Jewish blood that cries out from beneath the soil of Europe to be avenged!
It would be well that the Europeans put their own house in order before they lecture Israel in any future discussion’s involving our sovereign borders.
