Liberman the Rift Maker what Chutzpahdik.
Liberman is at it again, announcing: I will not sit with Netanyahu, Ben Gvir and the Arab Joint List.
He says the Joint List acts in the interest of Palestinians, unlike Mansor Abbas.
Liberman made it clear he saw Netanyahu and Itamar Ben Gvir as a disruptive presence in the Knesset and a significant influence on creating rifts in Israeli society.
You have to hand it to Liberman. He has chutzpah by the truckload. This is the man who did everything in his power to cause rifts in the Right-wing of politics destabilising four elections before throwing his lot in with Bennett’s left-wing Arab coalition, all in the cause of denying Binyamin Netanyahu the opportunity to form a majority government.
Liberman is left with being the spoiler after failing to create a broader political base from which to capture the Prime Ministership. He knows those ambitions are dead and buried unless he can broker a deal-breaker in the future. This would seem unlikely given his narrow Russian base of support.
However, never say never in Israeli politics, given the Bennett example, which we are all living with the consequences of bad government.
Like Bennett and Lapid, Liberman would have you, the Jewish people, swallowed up in the self-delusion of alien philosophies. They promise you impossible and outrageous pledges they know will never see the light of day while denigrating the authentic Jewish values that have helped sustain our nation through 2,000 years of exile. These pragmatists risk creating a society riven with self-hate, breast-beating and self-flagellation. They unwittingly threaten Jewish rights within the Jewish State, preferring to pander to Arab nationalist demands. These Arabs have a heritage of violence and are violent people prone to violence. Jew-hatred is rooted in the fabric of Arab society and is growing, nurtured in the Arab culture of violence and hate for the Jewish State and its people.
Yet the likes of Liberman would attack patriots like Itamar Ben Gvir and Binyamin Netanyahu while giving succour to Arab nationalist Mansour Abbas and his cronies.
Indeed it’s time for the rift makers amongst us to be given their marching orders.
