NEVER AGAIN!…REALLY!
This week in Britain saw two highly respected professional’s turn their back on the United Kingdom as they announced they would be leaving their home in England for a new life in Israel.
Lewis and Blumenthal choosing to leave the UK for Israel
Mark Lewis a leading Lawyer and his partner Mandy Blumenthal declared they are leaving the UK after being threatened with anti-Semitic abuse including death threats, they claimed the abuse came from Jeremy Corbyn supporters.
Mark Lewis and Mandy Blumenthal said Corbyn had moved the ‘rock anti-Semites have crawled out from’.
A Salute to Perfidy
The couple also said they have been victims of a growing wave of hate threats since Jeremy Corbyn became the labour leader.
Mark Lewis went on to say ‘the online abuse might continue, the Israelis might not like me because I am too left, might not like me because they think I am too right, whatever their view.
‘But they are not going to dislike me because I am Jewish. And there is only so much you can take…when you are getting threats to kill you’.
Mandy Blumenthal said: ‘People are … in the majority of circles that I mix in … are actually talking about their options of leaving here because of the anti-Semitism’.
This like so many other incidents is only the tip of the iceberg.
S.O.S
The problem is not a few anti-Semites expressing their distaste for Jews living in their land but rather one of omission by Jews themselves.
We have forgotten, the exile is a temporary not a permanent home away from home‘.
Visionary
Rabbi Meir Kahane zt’l, may his blood be avenged identified the problem when he wrote these words: ‘The very act of living in the exile, even the most comfortable, tranquil one there is, under the authority and sovereignty of the nations, dependent on their benevolence, generosity and tolerance, is nothing but a Chilul Hashem, an abandonment of G-d’s authority for that of the non-Jew. It is a Chilul Hashem to go from being a landlord in Eretz Yisrael to being a tenant and minority beholden to the non-Jew for one’s protection and security. Only in Eretz Yisrael can G-d’s kingdom and Kiddush Hashem be realised’.
Rabbi Kahane zt’l also wrote: ‘The source of impurity and foreign culture is the exile’.
If there is a lesson to be learnt from Lewis and Blumenthal and thousands like them it is this the countries they call home are in reality places of exile, doomed to be eliminated at some fast-approaching point in time.
The Choice is Your’s
Like Mark Lewis and Mandy Blumenthal, you have a choice you can choose to leave the lands of exile or be forced by terrible circumstance to do so at a time, not of your choosing.
The choice is always yours.
