Otzma Yehudit & the Haftorah
A good friend pointed out an interesting piece of information in the Haftorah for Lekh Lekha. He directed me to posuk 29, where he said I would find Otzma Yehudit, and so it was.
Nothing is by accident, and the posuk has been waiting patiently for the day when Jews would take back the reigns of government from a confederation of the wicked. The Haftorah in question speaks very precisely about proper outcomes regardless of the opposition they may encounter. Like the posuk Otzma Yehudit is committed to the integrity of the Jewish State of the Jewish people, including those Jews who still choose to live in the countries of the Diaspora.
Itamar Ben Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich are pledged to the protection and defence of the Jewish people. They recognise there are one Jewish people, indivisible, that the Jewish State is obligated to their wellbeing and will not resile from achieving these goals. This is entirely compatible with their ideology that will build the state whose first and primary concern and action will be to build a proud and loyal believing Jewish citizenry whose priority will be the establishment of Israel’s sovereign historical borders.
Jewish pride will be the order of the day. If you have a moment, read the Haftorah for Lekh Lekha with the above in mind.
