Political Mayhem! Gidon Saar and Gang!
Gidon Saar, Bennett, Lapid are nearly there but not quite yet. So can a durable government emerge from this dishonest mire? Opportunism is presiding over the establishment of a tainted political marriage between a questionable right with the left and Arab entities.
Moreover who has seen a government remain stable and effective despite its members and without their consent?
The astonishing dealmaking between the parties involved is proof that a coalition between these parties would not last very long. The government would rest on two columns, neither of which possess any reality like passing over hot coals, and so they try to convince Israelis that should they stick with Netanyahu they will be exposing themselves to the greatest evils. On this topic they are quite eloquent, they never stop talking about the dangers Netanyahu presents. Nothing they say about his government is based on reasoned conviction, but the dream of desire for power.
These little men should be an anathema to all intelligent thinking people.
This should not be interpreted as a vindication of Netanyahu but rather as a condemnation of raw political opportunism at any cost.
Should we head to a fifth election I trust our people will remember the perfidy shown by all the players involved in this sham and reject them at the polls.
The one exception being the Religious Zionist Party. Who have consistently refused to compromise their values and remained true to their voters. They are what the country desperately needs at a time of risk to Israel’s national interest and America’s sleight of hand to combine two incompatible policies: towards the Jewish State and the’ Fake Palestinians’. These are treacherous waters and the need for a strong hand at the wheel is more important today than ever before.
