THE KNIVES ARE OUT!
A week has passed since two massive explosions devastated large parts of Beirut and left at least 150 people dead and thousands injured.
As each day passes more and more questions are being asked as to who benefited from keeping the ammonium nitrate warehoused in Beirut’s port for six years and the whispers are getting louder accusing the terrorist organization Hezbollah as the most likely suspect.
However, Hezbollah has very little to fear from an irate populace and none from a Lebanese government of any persuasion which has no will nor effective capability to reestablish authority over Hezbollah.
As suspicions of Hezbollah’s involvement grows the pressure to find an appropriate scapegoat will intensify and while Hezbollah was quick to absolve Israel of any participation in the detonation they may well find it convenient to point the finger at Israel rather than undermine their hold on the Lebanese State.
If these cold-blooded murderers fingerprints are found to be all over this outrage they will not be alone in this folly as all roads lead back to their paymasters the Islamic Republic of Iran who aims to achieve dominance in the Middle East and ultimately threaten Israel’s southern border using initially their clients Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza.
Should Iran and Hezbollah’s Hassan Nasrallah opt for the Israel option they will once again weaponize anti-Zionist, anti-Semitic slogans in the service of their geopolitical objectives.
While the knives are out we wait to see whats next!
