The Most Dangerous Man in Israel Today.
MK Yair Lapid is fast becoming the most dangerous man in Israel for all the wrong reasons. Today he added to his litany of scaremongering and outright misinformation. Lapid grandstanded with a piece of cheap theatre in today’s Knesset when he declared that Israel’s 74th anniversary might well be it’s last if the government is determined to pursue its legislative reform of the Judicial system.
Lapid lacks conviction and is left with a hollow message not of hope but instead of despair. He lacks the fundamentals for which the Jewish State was reborn in 1948, A living witness to the triumph of human idealism and willpower over the nay-sayers. He cannot see the inevitable evolution of Israel’s Judicial system that will be to the eternal credit of those who refused to bow to political pressure.
Lapid, on the other hand, offers the people scepticism and corrosive defeatism. The government, in contrast, offers a plan audacious and direct. There is something about radical solutions to political questions which sit more comfortably in the minds of those who, in some sense, stand on the periphery, looking in from the outside, and appear to have an over-simple idea, an over-simple purpose, a lucid, at times radical vision, based on indispensable belief in spiritual and political redemption.
Lapid cannot see that the Jews are a unique combination of religion, race and people, that they cannot be classified in normal terms, and that his efforts to undermine the peculiarities of the Jewish people for his own political agenda will backfire on him. His denial of Jewish values and emphasis on being above the democratic result on November 1 is why he is the most dangerous man in Israel today.
I predicted that Lapid would be the worst PM in Israel’s history. It seems that my prediction is coming true. When you have a self hater as the leader of the Jewish state, only bad things can come of it. Lapid, envisions a state populated by Israelis where Jews are just one segment of the population.
In other words the death of the Jewish State.
