TRUMP ENEMY NUMBER ONE ?
At last President, Donald Trump has let the ‘cat out of the bag’…
I wrote back in July 05 the post ‘Missed Placed Trust,’ that Donald Trump would prove to be Israel’s worse nightmare come true… U.S. President Trump said Tuesday night August 21, 2018, at the Civic Centre in Charleston Virginia,
“Israel will pay “a higher price” in peace talks with the Palestinians” Due to his decision to recognise Jerusalem as the Jewish state’s capital.
‘Cat out of the Bag’
Trump went on to say Palestinians “will get something very good” in any future negotiations. “If there’s ever going to be peace with the Palestinians, then this was a good thing to have done,” Trump said of the recognition of Jerusalem and the recent relocation of the U.S. embassy to the capital.
“We took it off the table. In past negotiations, they never got past Jerusalem. Now Israel will have to pay a higher price, because its off the table. The Palestinians will get something very good because it”s their turn next.”
Is He Serious?
Even allowing for the difficulty of interpreting Trump’s ramblings and at times incoherent statements it’s not to difficult to see the ‘writing on the wall’.
Trump believes Israel is now under some obligation to his Presidency to relinquish Israel sovereignty over territory his administration will have earmarked for a future Palestinian State.
The crucial decisions of any future Arab state carved out of Israel’s heartland has once again been made in the Oval Office in Washington.
This being said Trumps Foreign policy adventures are always subject to limitations and outright change due to Trumps inconsistencies
Any statement by President Trump of a peace agreement between the Jewish State and the Arab proxy (Palestinian Authority) would with time prove to be inaccurate and shortsighted.
Should pen ever get to paper on an agreement between the Jewish State and the Arab proxy sponsored by the Americans it will turn out worse than anyone could have foreseen.
The Worse is Yet to Come
Any agreement with the enemy’s of Israel would amount to an unconditional surrender in everything but name.
All preamble to negotiation would, in reality, be nothing but window dressing for terms laid down as an ultimatum, leading to betrayal by our allies and eventually doomed to suffer the full violence of a ruthless enemy.
For Trump these gambits for peace whether it be North Korea, Iran or Israel are nothing more real to him than one of his soap opera episodes of the television show ‘The Apprentice’ he hosted for many seasons on American TV.
While we all want peace it can’t be found through appeasement as history has well documented. Trump wants to be the Peace Maker and its best not to impugn his motives, but without a doubt, his judgement is flawed. It’s imperative The Israel government of any colour does not commit our country to a fairy-tale, because they could not face cold reality.
Trump needs to be left in no doubt as to where Israel stands on any future peace agreement notwithstanding Trump’s previous support for Israel in the United Nations.
