What seriously would we do without the unpragmatic Betzalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben Gvir to keep the Netanyahu government honest in its horse trading with Saudi Arabia?

While behind the scenes, Netanyahu and the Biden administration consider how much is too much to concede to the Saudis over their Nuclear ambitions and the Palestinian question.

Smotrich and Ben Gvir make their position very clear: no territorial concessions to fake Palestinians for a Saudi deal. On the contrary, they doubled down on vowing to strengthen settlements in Judea and Shomron. Smotrich is very aware that every minute, the forces of appeasement are being reinforced, and the temptation to concede more and more eventually becomes irresistible. Smotrich knows that even the most decisive leader, should he succumb to the pressure of the United States, becomes a passive instrument for their national interests, not those of the Jewish State. In the end, the appeasers never get what they want; they always accept, they never choose. Smotrich and Ben Gvir are lone voices calling to the people of Israel: Do not allow yourselves to be seduced by the hype of private interest, vanity, or cowardice. Do not listen to the reasoners; there has been too much reasoning in Israel, and reasoning has banished reason. These Jewish patriots ask you to put aside your fears and reservations and trust the instinct of your conscience. They offer you, the Jewish people, an opportunity to accomplish a sovereign act.

To say no to selling off parts of Eretz Israel under any circumstances. No to a fake Palestinian state ever!
