Good question and one that needs answering more than ever.  Firstly if you’re sitting back comfortably in your favourite chair contemplating how good life has been to you in any number of the worlds major cities from New York to Melbourne you will most probably reject the following appeal to the Diaspora Jew.  And you would be right in doing so.

If your idyllic world truly existed and you were a gentile, but you are not and your world is starting to fray at the edges.

France, Sweden and the United Kingdom are just three countries where not long ago you would have felt very comfortable indeed.

Today these countries and many more like them are rolling up the ‘Welcome Matt’ making it very clear that you are no longer welcome.

No Longer Welcome

The Diaspora is faltering and there is no way to predict how soon it will come crashing down on 8 million Jews but the fault lines are there for all to see if you will open your eyes to the reality that lies just under the surface.

As for America, it’s already too late for millions who have brought into the ‘American Dream’, they are the ‘lost generation’.

The young more than not choose to marry out have fewer children than the average American and no longer see the Jewish State as relevant in a world where political correctness calls for Israel’s demise.

Free Palestine = Shed Jewish Blood

Tragically they are more likely to support the forces arraigned against the tiny State of Israel while identifying with those responsible for the death of innocent Jews.

How have we come to this sorry state?  I believe it lies in the decision by so many not to make Israel their home.

Can we honestly consider the mammoth task of arresting this tragic decline in Jewish Hadar (Pride) amongst a large part of American Jewry?

The answer is an emphatic yes. No Jew should be left behind in exile to wallow in the Diasporas moral decline, while the west discards morality and rejects all efforts to reverse this trend.

Home Coming

Diaspora Jew, you need to make Aliyah you have much to gain by coming home to Israel where in one hand is compassion and morality and in the other is strength with Torah.

Should you a Jew choose the Jewish land you will have guaranteed your children’s future as proud Jews and your life will have a purpose.
