A DIFFERENT POINT OF VIEW!
Your website is impressive, user friendly and easy on the eye. Your blog post on ‘read the writing on the wall’ does feel a bit like propaganda. You speak in extreme and absolute terms and make harsh judgements that seem like selections of a broader context. I think it is particularly scathing of the western world. It has undertones of the Russian or Chinese indoctrination of mid last century where the US was classified as synonymous with evil.
I think its a bit extreme-and I think fear mongering isn’t necessary when promoting an idea. Promote Israel and the benefits of Aliya rather than demonising the diaspora.
I learned a lot from your post…but personally, I prefer the softer approach…
The following is my reply to the above email; A few thoughts on your comments regarding the blog content you are absolutely correct when you point out my unbending critique of America and western society in general.
Achdut HaLev is unapologetically using the tools of propaganda to maximise the effectiveness of our message regardless of the niceties a polite society may prefer. Jewish history does not always allow for the luxury of good manners.
However there is an obligation upon one who is very sensitive to history to clarify the times we live in and there is an even deeper imperative for those living in a vulnerable situation to hear those words, no matter how unpleasant or painful they may be.
The plain brutal fact is that the potential for a wave of total Jew-hatred sweeping the United States exists today and that can be duplicated in an Australia that has suspended certain human rights under the guise of a caring society.
If you have the opportunity to read more of my commentaries you will see I am defending American core values against those who would undermine and overthrow the America that you are thinking of.
In a world that houses the sins of Moscow and Beijing and abides the oppression of freedom and human dignity throughout most of the world, I would be guilty of blatant bias against America. I am not I am simply pro-Jewish wanting the survival and continuum of the Jewish State.
At present, there are some six million Jews in America who are vulnerable and naive to America’s present dilemma their future wellbeing should be every Jews priority.
Once again I am not anti-West but rather pro-Jewish!…
