A Lone Voice in the Wilderness !
As Israel confronts the most significant challenge to its existence since Titus led Roman forces against the Jewish capital Jerusalem in 70 CE, destroying the Second Temple, leading to 2,000 years of a humiliating exile. The result was a turning point in Jewish history, as a Jewish nation was forced to recreate itself in a religious context and was distanced from its national roots. As time passed, many misconceptions regarding the nature of the People’s return to the Promised Land became codified in Jewish thought, leaving many to believe that doing nothing to facilitate that return was G-d’s will. This was an error of judgement that still pervades much of Diaspora thought till this day.
They ignore the fact that the Diaspora is a curse, demeaning our people while denying them their part in the coming ‘Geula’, otherwise falling victim to Gentile hatred and murderous intent.
Their leaders fail to appreciate that Yishuv Eretz Yisrael is a permanent mitzvah and ignore the fact that only in Eretz Israel can we be one nation. We see in (II Shmuel 7:23) And who is like Your people, Israel, one nation in the land. This must be taken literally: We become one nation only in the Land.
Today, there is a lone voice in the wilderness working towards that goal of a united nation settling the Land. That voice is the voice of a patriotic Jewish woman of courage and faith, Daniella Weiss, founder of Nachala, an Israeli settler organisation, and former mayor of Kedumim in the Shomron. Daniella Weiss was born in Bnei Brak, Mandatory Palestine. Her parents left her a legacy of love for Klal Israel and the Jewish Land. Mother and father were members of Lehi, a patriotic Zionist movement for the liberation of Israel from foreign occupation.
Daniella Weiss is committed to the settlement of all of Eretz Israel without exception. Remaining true to the Torah teachings regarding the Land of Israel.
I believe passionately in Daniella Weiss’ message, one that is not for turning, as she makes clear to the Jewish State’s enemies and to Israel’s erstwhile friends overseas, not one inch of Jewish Land to be given up to appease the grandchildren of Europe’s Jew-Killers, and no accommodation of American self-interest when it diverges from Israel’s self-interest.
And so what is it that drives a person like Daniella Weiss to sacrifice everything for the Jewish people and the Land? What drives her and those like her to climb the barricades against the enemies of Judaism and the Jewish State? The answer lies in the heart and soul of every Jew, regardless of what state they may find themselves in today.
Daniella Weiss, a voice for Jewish Freedom!
