Love Him or Hate Him Bibi is a Conundrum !

You either love him or hate him; this is the conundrum that Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu presents to the Israeli electorate and many people outside of Israel. He has been pronounced politically dead on more than one occasion during his long political career. He has tasted victory and bitter defeat, and come back from the political grave to torment his adversaries, proving that you can never write him off, no matter how desperate the situation looks. One such year is 2025, wrestling with the aftermath of October 7, 2023 and the following conflicts in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria and the Iranian war that threatened his Prime Ministership. These two years were precarious, and no one could be sure whether he was headed for oblivion or glory. Damned as a belligerent autocrat bent on overthrowing democracy in the Jewish State through his proposed reforms of the Judicial system, and accused of covering up his involvement in the initial disastrous response to October 7. Netanyahu has refused to succumb to the pressures of office and has shown himself to be one of the few in the Knesset with a sane and comprehensive view of world politics.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has stood at a crossroads in his illustrious career throughout 2021 to the present day, culminating in his becoming the leader of his nation in war. You can hate him or love him, but you cannot deny him his crucial role in the last two years in laying the foundation for the Jewish State’s survival in a hostile environment, navigating the unpredictable new world and leading Israel safely through the treacherous obstacles in its path. Arguably, no other politician could have achieved what Bibi Netanyahu has achieved in such troubled times.

Yosef Yigal made Aliya in 2014 while Sylvia his wife is an Israeli. In late 2014 Achdut HaLev concentrated all its resources towards Aliya and the rebuilding of Eretz Yisrael. Excluding none and embracing all. The commandment to settle the Land of Israel is equal in importance to all the Torah Commandments all together: (Sifri Deut 12:29)
