When Prudent Selfishness becomes Moral Evasion !

As the hostage families’ grief continues to be hijacked by the political Left in Israel and around the world, the Left activists and their political masters indulge in prudent selfishness verging on moral evasion. Their moral outrage is hysterical in tone, and most of it is perpetually on the edge of confusion between the fate of the hostages and the actions of a state under siege. All subsequent agitation ends in some strange and self-serving attack on the sitting government and political life that does not conform to Liberal-Socialist thinking.

Setting aside the tragedy that haunts the families of the remaining hostages and their traumatised existence without them, we are left with the ideologues and sycophants taking every opportunity at political persuasion, and are guilty of manufacturing a false narrative bent on bringing down an elected government during a life and death struggle between the Jewish State and its enemies. These political paragons of virtue are participating in a social fraud, masking a demand for unconditional surrender to the forces alined against Israel.

These fake idealists would have the people believe that the current government and its ongoing conflict in Gaza must be destroyed to save the nation’s moral being. Should you disagree with their ideas, you will be labelled an extremist and enemy in an attempt to control all opposition to their agenda. In the meantime, the Left will continue to decline into obsessions with the last actions in a darkening world.

The Left’s political concerns belong to a fantasy world, and obscure our view of what is actually going on.

Yosef Yigal Drever and Sylvia Drever co-founded Achdut HaLev in 2006 to reach out to the Jewish community's around the world providing support in learning Torah and promoting the 'Return of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel.' Yosef Yigal made Aliya in 2014 while Sylvia his wife is an Israeli. In late 2014 Achdut HaLev concentrated all its resources towards Aliya and the rebuilding of Eretz Yisrael. Excluding none and embracing all. The commandment to settle the Land of Israel is equal in importance to all the Torah Commandments all together: (Sifri Deut 12:29)
