Betrayal and Political Expediency!
Israelis have been subject to a subtle form of censorship on the part of their political leaders post-October 7, 2023, with Netanyahu refusing to have an open investigation into the security and intelligence failures leading up to the slaughter of some 1,200 Jews at the hands of Arab nationalists. Obviously, Israelis’ right to know is taken with a grain of salt. Yet the betrayal of Israel’s people started well before the monsters of Gaza set foot in the kibbutzim of the border region.
It began before the State was restored in 1948 and, more recently, was evident in the perfidy of Binyamin Netanyahu. Two years before October 7, Israel was subject to four elections in a year amidst Leftist-orchestrated protests that were designed to overthrow an elected Prime Minister and his government. They failed to unseat Prime Minister Netanyahu but, in the process, brought the State to the brink of anarchy. In that climate, Netanyahu became more desperate to hold onto power and form a government with 61 MK’s. To achieve this, he was prepared to do the unthinkable and reached out to the Arab public, lobbying for their support to break the political stalemate. Netanyahu went as far as approaching MK Mansour Abbas, head of the Ra’am party with close ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, the parent movement of Hamas. The significance of this cannot be overstated. Netanyahu was changing Israeli politics for the worse by offering joint Jewish Arab sovereignty that would eventually have seen Arab leadership over the State and its future direction. Once before, an Israeli Prime Minister, Yitzhak Rabin, opened Pandora’s box by embracing the hated Oslo Accords and eventually inviting Israel’s sworn enemy, the PLO and its debauched leader, Yasser Arafat, into the Biblical Heartland.
In Netanyahu’s attempts to hold onto power at any cost, he failed when the Arabs declined his offer. However, the genie was now out of the bottle, and the morally bankrupt Partys of the Left pounced on the opportunity to wrest power from their nemesis, Binyamin Netanyahu, by doing a deal with the Arab haters of the Jewish State. This was eventually realised through the mendacious little man of Israeli politics, Naftali Bennett, never mind that he had promised his supporters that he would never form a government with the Arab parties. The result of Netanyahus selfserving gesture to the Arab street leads all the way to October 7.
There is no other word for it: betrayal and political expediency hand in hand with the killers of our people.
