Moshe Feiglin Looking to the Future !
Moshe Feiglin intends to run in Israel’s 2026 general election. It begs the question, will he be tilting at windmills once again, or will he be successful in taking advantage of Israel’s move to the Right of politics?
One thing to be sure of is that Moshe Feiglin is no pragmatic time server in which self-interest dominates every move. Unlike Bennett and Lapid, amongst others, who weigh every move that will personally promote their grab for power. In these days of fleeting allegiance and loyalty seen all too often in the realm of Jewish leadership, one man stands out above the mediocre party hacks whose one objective is political survival. That man is Moshe Feiglin, who has put the Jewish State ahead of personal ambition time and again.
For decades, he has shown himself to be a true Jewish patriot, a leader not afraid to tilt at windmills if the occasion demands it, nor has he wilted from being demonised by both the left and the right, painted as some sort of unhinged fanatic.
So, who is this man really, once you have stripped away the words of contempt used to delegitimise a serious leader in Israeli society? One thing stands out: it is his unapologetic belief in the Torah as the ultimate authority on everything Jewish, including his political agenda.
That agenda includes implementing no concessions towards Arab nationalism within the Jewish State, he calls a ‘Spade a Spade‘, recognising the Arabs for the implacable enemy they are and the continued threat to the Jewish State, while they continue living within Israel’s borders.
Moshe Feiglin is running to use the Knesset to sponsor legislation aligned with his wide-ranging platform. The Arab question is just one of many that need to be addressed if the State of Israel is going to preserve its Jewish culture, values, and security. Ultimately, building an authentic Jewish State. Then Jews will need national leaders of the calibre of Moshe Feiglin.
When the time comes to vote, remember our future is riding on the outcome.
