A New Political Party Joins the Fray!

A new political party has appeared on Israel’s political scene amidst the ongoing turmoil post October 7 2023. That party is Orot HaShachar (the Morning light). Its leaders are committed to bringing like-minded parties together in a coalition dedicated to fostering unity in a fractured society, looking for genuine answers to the Jewish State’s dilemma in a hostile world.

Its leader, Beniyahu Har Shemesh, is a young man endowed with the power of ideas. One of those ideas harnessed in the Jewish ethos is the people’s unity. This fundamental idea is the bedrock of his and the parties’ understanding of Zionism and its existential commitment to all Jews being realised by the return of the Jewish people to the Promised Land.

This idea of return is now the most important thought a Jew can contemplate; no longer can its fulfilment be put off for another time. The palliatives of the Diaspora have failed, and one drastic cure stands out above all others: Aliya. Orot HaShachar is today the torchbearer of this 2,000-year dream, a living political expression of idealism and willpower brought to bear against the self-defeating nature of policies that would keep the Diaspora alive in a world gone mad.

Underwriting it all is the desire for a unified people, sovereign and committed to a Jewish future in Eretz Israel. When the time comes to vote, do so with a Jewish mind and a Jewish heart!

Yosef Yigal Drever

Yosef Yigal Drever and Sylvia Drever co-founded Achdut HaLev in 2006 to reach out to the Jewish community's around the world providing support in learning Torah and promoting the 'Return of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel.' Yosef Yigal made Aliya in 2014 while Sylvia his wife is an Israeli. In late 2014 Achdut HaLev concentrated all its resources towards Aliya and the rebuilding of Eretz Yisrael. Excluding none and embracing all. The commandment to settle the Land of Israel is equal in importance to all the Torah Commandments all together: (Sifri Deut 12:29)
