AMERICA LOST!
As Joe Biden officially secures enough electoral votes to take office as the 46th president of the United States and his erstwhile predecessor Donald J Trump struggles to hold onto the presidency in the false hope that somehow if he just keeps repeating over and over I was robbed he will hold on to the presidency. Ignoring the facts that of the 50 legal cases challenging the electoral results in five swing states 30 have already been rejected or discontinued and the rest are yet to see the light of day.
What does all this mean for America and its western client states? For the answer, one need look no further than ancient Rome for an answer to the dilemma America faces today.
The Roman Empire boasted a highly developed civilization believing themselves superior culturally, linguistically, militarily and in its day technologically, not to mention in its religious universality.
Yet within a three hundred year period, the glory of Rome witnessed its transition from Roman order to violent and lawless disorder emphasised by systemic problems within the body politic, exasperated by its declining military, bureaucratic, and financial capacities to maintain the Empire.
Coupled with its growing external pressures Rome faced internal ruptures to its society and once the reason for unity was undermined and a large section of its people no longer believed in the Roman vision the Empire ceased to cope and self-immolated.
Ergo America where at least half of all Americans look upon its system of government as a futile exercise in democracy that leads only to chaos and anarchy and should be overthrown, they now believe the system panders only to the select few and rewards the corrupt in their society and while there are examples of this being perpetuated within the system by both sides of the aisle, does it warrant being destroyed wholesale?
Those who would exploit this dissatisfaction offer the tired, weak and angry American a false dream. In place of tradition and cultural certainties, they invite the lost American to give up the values of the founding fathers and replace it with the ongoing world of materialism and technological nihilism.
A guaranteed life of boredom and unsatisfying fads which can only leave him empty and unfulfilled.
While these same prophets of a new nirvana line their pockets and accumulate power for power’s sake.
This is the vision for a new America.
No paradise found instead an America lost!
