Biden, Israel and a Big Serving of Sentimentality
A lovely old man came to visit Israel this week and left as quickly as he came. President Joe Biden octogenarian, deal maker and sometime leader of the Western world.
This old man managed to have Israel’s leaders fall over themselves in praise of his love and undying friendship for the Jewish State. Israel’s President Hertzog more than once declared Biden one of the family. Not to be outdone. Lapid and Gantz, amongst others, expressed their admiration and respect for what they claimed was a great leader and supporter of Israel bar none.
Forget Harry Truman, Trump and Reagan. They all pale into insignificance when compared to this paragon of virtue. Medals of Honour accolades without end with a Big serving of Sentimentality that I thought only Americans were capable of.
Israel’s leaders expect the people to embrace the transient whims of an American administration while overlooking the selfish pressure of lovely old men draped in the ‘Stars and Stripes’.
We, the Jewish people, cannot afford the luxury of simple democracy that America would have us embrace, for the Jewish State its the most evil, ignoble, and potentially unjust and detestable outcome. This Western democracy is to be feared when shared with Arab nationalists, Israel’s implacable enemy.
Should Arab nationalists hold the balance of power in the Knesset, Israel and its institutions would be confronted by an unchecked, unjust, tyrannical, brutal, barbarous and cruel people possessed of uncontrollable power. This minority, without exception, would usurp the rights of the Jewish majority.
However, this is precisely what the lovely old man from Pennsylvania avenue would have you accept as the right thing to do. Hogwash, No two objects are perfectly alike; no two creatures are perfectly equal.
Yet Uncle Sam is attempting to create a physical reality out of the Palestinian myth with all its psychological impact falling on the Jews of Israel and the diaspora while translating their efforts into political terms.
This is the reality behind the facade of the lovely old man President of the United States.
Suppose this is what our current leaders want. In that case, we as a nation must get behind Otzma Yehudit and support Itamar Ben Gvir in his efforts to bring about a Jewish victory on November 1st.
Be warned the Jewish house is burning while those inside are sleeping, and there are no alarm bells, except for one, the Jewish patriot Ben Gvir who offers the people the only legitimate alternative to the existing status quo.
