The Countdown has Begun !
The countdown has begun as Israel, with or without the United States, prepares for a repeat of its successful air campaign of 13 June 2025 when it devastated much of Iran’s nuclear facilities, military bases and its installations as well as many key military leaders.
Israel has not forgotten the unprovoked ballistic missile attack of April 19, and the second on October 1 2024, when the Islamic Republic of Iran launched some 200 ballistic missiles in approximately two waves on a sleeping nation. The lesson has been learnt premption trumps absorption. Never again will the Jewish State allow itself to be used as a pawn to another nation’s self-interest when that self-interest threatens the very existence of Israel. The experience has seared deeply into the national consciousness, removing any illusions as to Tehran’s threats to wipe Israel off the map.
Initially, the conflict with Hezbollah, Hamas and Iran undermined Israel’s seeming invulnerability, leaving us naked and compromised. However, in reality, the Jewish State rose to the occasion and piecemeal defeated the combined forces of Iran, its proxies Hamas, Hezbollah and the Assad regime in Syria, redrawing the map of the Middle East in the process.
Israel had awakened from its own doubts born out of years of propaganda by those very forces that now lay at the feet of an aroused Lion of Judah, growing ever more assured of its ability to take on and defeat the forces of evil surrounding the tiny nation of Israel.
At present, Israel walks a tightrope with American policy, immersed in contradictions as Trump vacillates between taking offensive military action against Iran and striking an empty deal with the Theocracy in Tehran.
Should America blink, Israel will go it alone, reaping international condemnation from all and sundry.
