TYRANNY A COMMENT!
I received the following comment on Achdut HaLev’s previous Blog ‘Tyranny in the Land of the Free’, from a concerned citizen of Australia.
‘The Land of She’ll be Right Mate’!
I thought it worthwhile to show another opinion keeping in mind mans life is now disunion with men, values and himself.
The following is the full comment we received… ‘My thoughts regarding this issue maybe a little more sympathetic than yours.
Whilst I agree with your comments regarding the outrageous opportunists and criminals amongst their supporters, in the whole the people who are out there demonstrating are predominantly more concerned with the racism and discrimination that has gone on too long that is prevalent in the US and elsewhere I really think you are selectively tacking an objection to the whole movement based on the few who get a very overexposed coverage by the press. You know yourself that the press only reports on disputes, attacks, and war with the Palestinians in Israel and they play the same coverage over and over again around the world. We never see the peaceful stuff.
I am surprised that you would believe all that over-reporting the negatives. I know that the vandals and looters are there doing their destruction and are militant. But what we are seeing more of is that, rather than the peaceful people marching who get no coverage at all. It is outrageous what has happened to blacks and Jews and others over these years and you as a Jew, I would imagine that you support justified peaceful protest but abhor violence by a (relatively) small number.
Your comment that lies have been spread by malcontents but that does not take away the cruel and inhuman way that policeman snuffed out George Forman’s life. That fact is indefensible.
One could only wish that the world had have demonstrated so passionately for the injustices the Jews have had inflicted on them throughout the centuries and the Holocaust specifically.
Try and have some sympathy and kindness in your heart for others that different from your agenda and don’t be so militant only about your cause as well, as it makes you one-eyed.
Sometimes one can’t see the forest for the trees.
BY the way. I am not one of those people who have put George Forman on a pedestal. Far from it. From what I understand he was a small-time criminal anyway. It is just about the murder of a person (and many) whilst in custody. It is up to the courts and God to deal with people like him, not a murderous policeman’s intent on his own mission of tyranny.
