Unity at all Costs; a Jewish Priority.

If there is one miracle that stands out amongst the many happening in Israel today, it would have to be Jewish unity. Its realisation is elusive and, at times confusing, its eventual achievement, a monumental task.

The power of Jewish unity is not just a utopian idea; It’s a crucial element in bringing the Messianic era to fruition with the building of the Temple in Yerushalayim and becoming a ‘Light unto the nations’.

With this critical thought, we at Achdut HaLev & Hadar Yehudit have decided to cease any direct criticism of our fellow Jews regardless of their political, religious, social and philosophical leanings.

This does not mean those lifestyle choices and political agendas that seek to destroy the Jewish ethos will be condoned or ignored. Where we can criticise constructively and build understanding between different opinions, we will endeavour to do so while avoiding personal recriminations.

To preserve peace between all Jews, we are responsible for avoiding baseless hatred and speaking derogatorily of each other. Disunity makes Israel vulnerable to the forces ranged against it, while a united Jewish nation is invulnerable to their assaults upon our country and our people.

So starting today, Achdut HaLev & Hadar Yehudit will endeavour to concentrate their outrage against all non-Jewish enemies wherever they are. We reject here and now any assimilated nonsense that would confuse our people and split them apart.

In the words of King David: “O violated daughter of Babylon, praiseworthy is he who repays you in accordance with the manner that you treated us” (Psalm 137:8).

Yosef Yigal Drever and Sylvia Drever co-founded Achdut HaLev in 2006 to reach out to the Jewish community's around the world providing support in learning Torah and promoting the 'Return of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel.' Yosef Yigal made Aliya in 2014 while Sylvia his wife is an Israeli. In late 2014 Achdut HaLev concentrated all its resources towards Aliya and the rebuilding of Eretz Yisrael. Excluding none and embracing all. The commandment to settle the Land of Israel is equal in importance to all the Torah Commandments all together: (Sifri Deut 12:29)
