BUT ON ZIONS MOUNT A REMNANT SHALL SURVIVE…The Gog a Magog File

Has Putin become indispensable to maintaining the balance of power in a fractured  Middle East?

The answer to that question for the moment is yes as Putin has his finger in every Pie, from Ukraine to Syria to Lebanon to Turkey to Iran to Jordan and an ever-growing interest in Israel, while at the same time covertly destabilising the United States via ‘fake news’ and various cyber attacks.

Putin is Everywhere

Putin’s bold initiatives in the Middle East are becoming more important and dangerous every day and are having a decisive impact in the world’s capitals on their foreign policy papers.

The ramifications are still being assessed and world governments are urgently watching to see if Trumps America will step up the ‘pushback’ and reclaim hegemony in the Middle East.

Should Washington fail to check Russia’s ambitions in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, Putin would be encouraged to apply a mix of diplomatic and hard-power pressure to the Jewish State on its northern border.

Vladimir Putin’s instinct has got him this far and while he experiences ongoing success in his endeavours he is most likely to continue employing the tactic of standing up to the West and applying pressure where he senses weakness.

The great seducer knows the measure of Trump and will continue courting the U.S. President until there is no more to be gained from the relationship.

The Great Seducer

This should be a sobering moment for reflection and opportunity to look into the Russian government’s objectives in the region.

The U.S. – Russia relationship is of pivotal global importance and while Putin’s Russia strives to regain its former status as a major independent geopolitical entity it needs to temper its ambitions while undermining the superior power of the United States of America.

Putin will continue to use a mix of foreign policy and military intervention to establish Russia’s dominance in the Middle East and achieve his strategic goals.

Foreign Policy Disaster

Russia has had exceptional success in building coalitions as can be seen in the Russia, Iran, Turkey triumvirate.

This is a result of Obama’s disastrous foreign policy debacle in the Middle East which convinced Putin that America no longer had the will to play world policeman.  Putin saw a decline of U.S. influence in the region and took the initiative to chart a new course for Russia and her new friends ie: Iran, Turkey.

With America seemingly prepared to relinquish to some degree hegemony over the gas and oil fields and thereby putting at risk the flow of energy to its allies it has created a future firestorm.  One that will bring Israel and the Russian alliance to the brink of war.

Future War

The prize for Putin is to close to stop now and what he can’t get with charm he will attempt to get with steel.

Jews of the Diaspora should not make the mistake in thinking that these troubles belong to the Middle East and have no impact on Europe and America.  Quite the contrary any weakening of the Jewish State will eventually harm Jewish citizens in their respective countries.  Israel will remain the only ‘Refuge’ for the worlds Jews period.

(But on Zion’s mount a remnant shall survive,

And it shall be holy. Ovadiah 1:17)
