Desperate Measures For Desperate Times; Israel On The Brink!

Benny Gantz has issued an ultimatum to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu: if he doesn’t comply with Gantz’s six objectives to clarify Israel’s war aims in Gaza and the northern borders, he will withdraw from the government by June 8. Without knowing what the six objectives actually mean in substance, one is left in the dark as to the direction these objectives would take Israel.

Gantz’s ultimatum does highlight the Jewish State’s absence of authentic Jewish leadership. This raises the question of whether it is time for Avigdor Lieberman to be invited to join the government and the war cabinet and be responsible for shaping the contentious war aims. For all of Liberman’s faults, he is a genuine defender of Jewish sovereignty and an outspoken advocate for a one-Jewish state solution to the Arab nationalist problem.

He will brook no imported or homegrown cancer to eat away at the body politic of Israel. Nor would he allow Israel’s people to become addicted to defeatism for lack of genuine leadership. Lieberman’s obligation is to cleave unto the Zionist vision for the Jewish State. Avigdor Lieberman can provide an alternative leadership that defines the meaning of the struggle between Jews of conviction and those of assimilation and appeasement. He recognises the potential for the rot and moral suicide of the state that October 7 actually is for Israel.

Lieberman is acutely aware of Israel’s military prowess and technological expertise but knows these assets must be matched by a strong will to win and self-assurance as to the justice of their cause, confident they can’t be defeated. He knows that if Israel allows the nation’s confidence to be eroded, it can lead to moral confusion and self-hate.

Avigdor Lieberman can assist the nation in returning to a normal, healthy and correct perception of the enemy Israel confronts today. A cruel, brutal, murderous enemy.

If Gantz goes, Lieberman needs to fill his shoes.
