Iran Faces the Chopping Block !

Shabbat (Sabbath) in Israel will be with us in a few hours’ time, so I just want to leave you all with a quick update on Iran and the noise coming out of Israel and the United States, suggesting this Shabbat (Saturday) may well see the opening salvo being fired by the Americans and Israel in their campaign to overthrow the current Islamic Regime in Tehran.

What we have seen so far, leading up to the current speculation, has been an intensive propaganda war by the US and Israel to gain the moral high ground and the hearts of their citizens before unleashing the ‘dogs of war’. Much is riding on a successful campaign. That goes well beyond the region, with America challenging China’s ambitions in the South China Sea, Taiwan, and the Middle East. The stakes are high if the US fails to curb Chinese designs on the Pacific Rim. China could eventually be in a position to dominate Eurasia, extending all the way to the Middle East’s strategic oil fields, and even pose a threat to American hegemony worldwide.

As for Israel, it’s a life and death struggle with no option but total victory. It’s just possible that the coming days will provide the answers to these perplexing questions.
