The End of Illusion Iran a Lit Fuse !

Iran’s rejection of a genuine peace initiative will, in the near future, be seen as the moment the world entered a calamity of no return, and, with it, the catastrophic collapse of the international order. If America and China emerge from this conflict as belligerents, the orgy of killing and devastation unleashed will be the result of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s unbending commitment to an Ideology-Theology that requires the destruction of the world.

Iran, with the instincts of a Lemming and an unerring eye for psychological weakness, pushes its adversaries from disadvantage to disadvantage till they are thoroughly demoralised or left with no option but total war. The leaders in Tehran operate by instinct rather than analysis.

This leaves the United States with two options: a complete backdown, leaving Iran potentially stronger than ever alongside China, an emerging superpower or abandon any pretence to the moral high ground and wipe Iran from the map.

As for America’s allies, with the exception of Israel, they already feel so utterly doomed that their primary goal is to defer war in the hope that the status quo will be maintained in their favour.

Should America decide that the geopolitical importance of the Jewish State is outweighed by domestic opinion, thereby abandoning the only credible ally it still has, then the United States future as the hegemon will have come to an end. Much rides on the decisions that will be made in the coming days.

Whatever those days bring, one thing is certain: the time of illusion will have been dead and buried in the waterways of the region. The fuse is lit and can’t be extinguished.
