When Islam Gets it Right! It’s Still Not Enough!
It’s not often, if at all, that Islam gets anything right. The exception is its view on Western morality. When Muslims criticise the West for its lack of values in destroying and destabilising customs, institutions and forms of life that were once held in high esteem by many in the West, they are right. They recognise Western society’s love affair with the secular state, its obsession with liberal individualism, and its woke conception of citizenship. The Moslem rejects their desire to break with the past and can see that society makes no sense without the cultural inheritance of its people. They are aware that Western society’s headlong rush into the moral abyss invites the disintegration of humanity into the ‘dust and powder of a failed culture. Societal order requires cultural unity, which the immoral West can no longer provide.
That’s where I part company with the Islamists. Once we have exhausted the moral outrage, one is left with far-reaching disorders and falsehoods that populate the Muslim world—the tyranny of the fanatic. Common ground has slipped from our grasp.
What are we left with the makings of a gigantic nightmare when Western secular thought police are invited to conscript, dictate, organise and punish those who refuse to conform to the insane ideology of the woke/cultural bolsheviks presently in positions of power and influence. These High Priests of woke are committed to the destruction of civil society to impose on the people a corrupt/immoral value system far worse than anything yet seen.
The outlook is bleak, whether it’s a fanatical Muslim regime or a morally degenerate West.
We ignore these trends in society at our peril.
