With Leaders Like These Who Needs Enemy’s!

Israel’s current leaders are the problem, not the solution. The war cabinet of Israel was formed on the 11th of October, five days after Hamas went on its rampage in southern Israel, butchering nearly 1,500 Jews and leaving more than 3,500 men, women and children injured and scarred for life.

The war cabinet consists of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Yoav Gallant, Minister of Defense, former Chief of the General staff, and leader of the Blue and White Party, Benny Gantz. As well as three observers. Gadi Eizenkot, Ron Dermer and Aryeh Deri. What do all these men have in common? One thing stands out: they all have lacked the commitment to take action in terribly difficult and terribly dangerous situations Israel has found itself in the past. They have failed to stand up to the United States when it mattered, and today is no exception. They are not the stuff that Jewish leadership is made of. Their actions in allowing the United States Secretary of State to participate in a war cabinet meeting during Biden’s visit to Israel last week, where he harangued its members for seven hours lecturing them on American self-interest. Demanding Israel forego any effective military response to Hamas and Iranian-backed forces in the north. Virtually handing Israel’s military sovereignty to the Commander in Chief of the United States armed forces, Joseph R Biden Jr.

Unheard of. It took Israel 3 weeks during the Yom Kippur War in 1973 to turn the surprise attack on two fronts from a potential defeat into a route of the Egyptian and Syrian armies, which were both saved from total destruction by America’s efforts to impose a cease-fire between combatants. It’s now three weeks since a second-rate military’s deadly attack on our southern communities, and we still do nothing other than a surgical air offensive.

In the meantime, Netanyahu talks tough and promises ultimate victory incessantly over a decimated Hamas.

It is clear to all but those who cannot or will not see that American self-interest trumps the Jewish State’s self-interest, and thus, the war cabinet proves to be an irrelevancy of its own making.

Fortunately, the Iranian-Arab threat and the fate of Israel do not exist in a historical or political vacuum. The Jew, his state, and his destiny are part of a much larger reality than the one Netanyahu and Ganz could ever comprehend. These Jewish leaders beholden to the United States have no answers to the contradiction between Israel’s independence of action and America’s self-interest. They become more ideologically schizophrenic every day. They sit on their hands and do nothing. They babble and equivocate while drowning in ambiguity. Lying to themselves and Israel’s people in daily briefings to the nation. And Jewish boys and girls continue bleeding to accommodate a Presidential re-election campaign.

This need not be. Israel possesses authentic leaders who are capable of leading a sovereign and independent state. Each one is committed to its Jewish destiny. They are Itamar Ben Gvir, Minister of National Security, Betzalel Smotrich, Minister of Finance, and Avi Maoz, all currently members of the Knesset. Outside of the Knesset is Effi Eitam, an Israeli Brigadier General and former Knesset member and onetime leader of the National Religious Party, amongst other things. Any one of these patriots would be capable of leading Israel out of the swamp it currently resides in. It’s imperative that these men and others like them gain access to power within Israel to stop Jews from being led to the slaughter by men who no longer possess the will or the vision to fight for the Jewish State’s authentic ethos. These tiered leaders have no business leading the country, for they really don’t know what they are supposedsed to do.
