The Cold Hard Truth!

From every major Capital of the world to the smallest hamlet, the voices of Jew Hatred grow louder every day and yet, for most Jews living in the Diaspora, the cold, hard truth that lurks at their doorstep is better swept under the carpet than countenance the dark reality and all it means for their future in the Diaspora.

They refuse to understand the depth of hate now taking hold of their gentile neighbours, which will lead them back to the mounds of ashes at Auschwitz, Majdanek, and Treblinka, where an entire people went up in smoke. The Diaspora Jew appears to have forgotten the lessons of the Holocaust, to our dismay and disgrace. Where are the alarm bells to awaken them from their sleep of the last seventy-nine years, given the disaster running amok since October 7 2023?

Yet, despite the voices of concern, there is no plan of action other than the usual cliches: Holocaust education, more security for Jewish schools and Synagogues, etc… these are bandaids, not solutions to the problem. The existential crisis facing our people is fatal, while the Diaspora leadership refuses to initiate practical steps to avoid the coming tsunami.

What needs to be done is for Jewish leaders to take the lead in mobilizing the Jewish people of the Diaspora to realise that the issue of survival that faces them can only be found in moving to Israel. Aliya must be inculcated into the people until secular leaders and the Rabinical leaders believe it and teach it to their congregations as the only genuine alternative to preserving Jewish life.

The cold, hard truth must be either you go to Israel, settle there and build the state, or you stay in the Diaspora and lose your dignity, freedom, the right to be a Jew and in the end, your life. The simple fact is Jews of the Diaspora can no longer survive as a people in the Diaspora.

The truth is cold and hard the alternative is even harder and deadly.

Yosef Yigal Drever and Sylvia Drever co-founded Achdut HaLev in 2006 to reach out to the Jewish community's around the world providing support in learning Torah and promoting the 'Return of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel.' Yosef Yigal made Aliya in 2014 while Sylvia his wife is an Israeli. In late 2014 Achdut HaLev concentrated all its resources towards Aliya and the rebuilding of Eretz Yisrael. Excluding none and embracing all. The commandment to settle the Land of Israel is equal in importance to all the Torah Commandments all together: (Sifri Deut 12:29)
